SightGlass Vision Webinar Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms“) apply to your participation in webinars hosted via Microsoft Teams (the “Event“), and organised by SightGlass Vision, Inc. (“Organiser“, “we“, “us“, or “our“).
By registering for or attending the Event, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Registration is required to attend the Event. By registering, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and complete.
The Organiser reserves the right to deny or remove access to any participant at its discretion.
The Event will be delivered using Microsoft Teams. You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary software, hardware, and internet access to participate.
You agree to use Microsoft Teams in compliance with its Terms of Use and any applicable laws or regulations.
Participants must:
Treat all hosts and participants with respect.
Not engage in disruptive, abusive, or discriminatory behaviour.
Not share inappropriate, confidential, or copyrighted materials without permission.
Violations may result in removal from the Event and/or exclusion from future events.
The Event may be recorded by the Organiser. Recordings may be used for internal review, training, marketing, or education.
If you do not wish to be recorded, please turn off your camera and microphone and avoid using the chat or other participation tools (or only use these on an anonymous basis). Please refer to our Privacy Notice below for further information about how we may use recordings.
Personal data collected during registration or through the Event will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice below and applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR). Microsoft Teams may collect data subject to its own Privacy Statement.
All content presented during the Event is the property of the Organiser or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share the content without prior written permission.
The information presented in this Event is intended exclusively for licensed healthcare professionals for educational and informational purposes only. It is not intended to replace clinical judgment or serve as a substitute for individualised patient care.
While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the content, medical knowledge and best practices continue to evolve. Participants are encouraged to consult relevant clinical guidelines before applying any recommendations in a professional setting.
Participation in this Event does not establish a doctor-patient relationship.
To the extent permitted by law, the Organiser disclaims any liability for damages arising from your participation in the Event.
This Event does not constitute continuing professional development (CPD) unless explicitly stated.
The Organiser reserves the right to change, postpone, or cancel the Event at any time.
Registered participants will be notified by email in such cases.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

UK Webinar Privacy Notice
SightGlass Vision, Inc. (“We/Our”) is the controller responsible for your personal data. We will collect and process your personal data when you provide the information requested on this form.
If a webinar or event is delivered with the support of a third-party provider, we may share your registration data with that provider solely for the purpose of facilitating the event. In such cases, we will ensure appropriate contractual and organisational measures are in place to protect your data, and we will remain the data controller.
Purpose and lawful basis for processing
This privacy notice provides information on how we collect and process your personal data when you attend our webinar, video conference, or live broadcast event (“Online Events”) and provide wider access to its content.
We process your personal data to facilitate your participation in SightGlass Vision’s Online Events. This includes sending you the event link, a calendar invitation, and a confirmation email with event details to support your attendance and engagement. We also use your data to manage event logistics, send reminders, and share post-event materials such as recordings. Where necessary, your data may be shared with trusted third-party providers assisting with event delivery, under appropriate safeguards. If you choose to opt in, we may also use your information to send you marketing communications about similar events.
The lawful basis we rely on for processing your personal data is consent where we have obtained your active agreement to use your personal data for a specified purpose (Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR), and legitimate interests where it is necessary to conduct our business and pursue our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR). Please note that Online Events are intended for adults and professionals. We do not knowingly collect registration data from children.
What we need
If you are an attendee or presenter at one of these Online Events, we will require your First name, Surname, Profession, Email address, and your location (“Registrant Data”).
We may record the Online Events, and all presenters will have their image and audio captured in the recording. If you are an attendee, you may have the option of sharing your image and audio and/or name during the session. If you choose to do so, this may also be captured in the recording (“Participation Data”).
Some Online Events will feature a moderated Q&A. If you choose to interact with the Q&A, your comments may be published to others at the event and will also form part of the recording.
If an event is being recorded, we will always notify you in advance.
What we do with it
We use your email address to provide you with the event details. This will include information about any recording taking place. For recorded events, we may email you a link to the recording once the event has concluded.
Personal data collected during Online Events registration will be used for administering the event, communicating about the event, and future marketing (where consent is given). Your personal data will only be used for marketing purposes if you actively choose to opt in at the point of registration. You may withdraw this consent at any time by following the unsubscribe link included in our communications or by contacting us at the email address below.
How long we keep it
We will keep your Registrant Data and any recording of the Online Events for 12 months.
Transcripts of webinars are retained for 12 months.
If you opt in to receiving marketing communications from us, we will keep your personal data for 12 months.
Do we use any data processors?
We use Microsoft Teams to deliver our Online Events. We use social media platforms to publish the recordings of some events.
A third-party provider will process personal data on our behalf, collected independently and lawfully through individuals registering directly with our Online Events and consenting to our GDPR-compliant privacy policy.
These sites all drop non-essential cookies.
Your Legal Rights

Do we transfer data overseas?
Registration and Participation Data will be processed in the UK and transferred, stored and processed in the U.S. We will ensure that suitable safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to maintain the necessary level of protection.
